Trout Stream Educators provides instruction and lessons for beginning, novice and intermediate flyfishers interested in adding to their knowledge base and flyfishing skills. We offer personal and group instruction on flyfishing techniques, tactics, stream ecology and biology. Our classroom is streamside where you can see and immediately apply the lessons over wild trout.
We don't have a set syllabus or "canned lessons". We prefer to set a mutually agreed upon agenda, based on what you are interested in learning. We are not a guide service because we don't focus on just catching trout. We generally catch fish in the process of what we do, but our focus is on teaching and practice rather than counting how many trout were landed. Our goal at the end of the day is for you to take home some additional skills and insight into our sport. We practice strict catch and release unless we are on "put and take" water incapable of holding trout over the summer months. Fortunately, we don't spend much time in places like that!
