A new restaurant from the team behind Pine Grove Hall has opened its doors in Pine Grove Mills.
After a soft opening last weekend, Flour & Stone is welcoming guests with regular operating hours of 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. The sister restaurant to Pine Grove Hall is located next door at 125 E. Pine Grove Rd.
Reservations are not required, but are highly recommended. Patio seating is also available for walk-ins, weather-permitting.
Flour & Stone will host an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, for guests to explore the renovated former house, listen to live music on the patio and enjoy complimentary ice cream made specifically for the restaurant by Vale Wood Farm.
The new restaurant features a Mediterranean-inspired, farm-to-table menu for “an elevated dining experience,” led by chef Tory Glossner, according to a news release. The menu includes shareables such as fried whitebait, cod-stuffed piquillos, croquettes and seasonal salad; pastas like moussaka lasagna, short rib gnocchi and goat cheese ravioli; and three varieties of pizzetta.
Main entrees include swordfish a la plancha, sirloin peperonata, mushroom and truffle farrotto and porchetta. For the sweet tooth, the dessert menu features chocolate torte, olive oil cake, butterscotch budino, affogato and the Vale Wood Farm ice cream, as well as a selection of dessert wines.
The bar menu emphasizes wine, with a variety of cocktails and beers to complement the food menu.
