After nearly 20 years in downtown State College, Freeze Thaw Cycles is moving to Ferguson Township in early 2025.

The bicycle sales and service shop plans to move from its current location at 109 S. Allen St. to 1400 W. College Ave. by January, co-owner Justin Wagner wrote in a Facebook post. The new location was previously home to Traditional Auto and is next to Fisher Auto Parts.

Wagner called the new location “a dream space” that will offer a 3,000-square-foot sales and service area, along with a large storage warehouse.

“Our parking lot holds more cars than all of Allen Street and we look forward to sharing our vision of an FTC Complex with our customers and friends,” Wagner wrote.

Before the move, Freeze Thaw Cycles remains open on Allen Street 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

Freeze Thaw Cycles opened in 2005 in a small basement space on South Fraser Street before ultimately moving to the three-level shop and service facility on South Allen Street in 2009.

“THANK YOU to our loyal supporters for allowing us to grow the business since 2005,” Wagner wrote. “The Shoppe will turn 20 in May and we look forward to celebrating with everyone in our new digs! More details to follow as we make the new space our own.”
