Downtown State College tattoo parlor and piercing studio Ikonic Ink is set to move locations in the coming months.

An Ikonic employee confirmed the business’ plans to move to South Allen Street by February 2022. The new spot will be adjacent to Appalachian Outdoors, 131 S. Allen St., which actually closed part of its former retail space to make room for the new Ikonic location.

Ikonic originally opened in State College in 2013 and has been on West Beaver Avenue since its inception. It previously had moved from a location at 127 W. Beaver Ave. to a larger one at 111 W. Beaver Ave. next to Panera Bread.

According to its website, Ikonic currently has four artists and one apprentice who provide tattoo services. The shop also has one piercing professional. Founded by State College area resident Dave Fausette, Ikonic has five different studios in the eastern United States, including one in Altoona.
