A family-owned restaurant in Penns Valley is moving to a new location this spring.
Streamside Family Restaurant will move this month from its home of the past two years at 137 Streamside Place in Spring Mills to Earlystown Road/Route 45 in Centre Hall, next to Centre Herd and near the Earlystown Diner, owners Jennifer and Rudy Seles wrote in a Facebook post on Friday night.
“Our lease ran out at our current location in Spring Mills, [and] while we absolutely loved our Spring Mills location and community, we were not able to renew our current lease,” they wrote.
The restaurant is tentatively scheduled to close the Spring Mills location at the end of the day on March 16, though it may be earlier as product is drawn down ahead of the move. The Centre Hall location is expected to open sometime in April.
The new location at 2782 Earlystown Road, which was last home to South Philly Cheesesteaks before it closed in 2023, is being remodeled and restored to its previous state as a sit-down restaurant.
Since opening in March 2022 at the former Pizza Heaven space in Spring Mills, Streamside Family Restaurant has offered pizzas, stromboli, subs, sandwiches, salads, soups, desserts and daily and blue plate specials, along with low-carb sweets from Marie Lane Bakery.
The Centre Hall restaurant “will have an expanded menu and a grill and fryer to bring you some of your favorite foods,” according to the post.
Updates on closing and opening dates and menu offerings will be posted on Streamside’s Facebook page.
“Exciting things are coming,” the Seles family wrote. “We look forward to serving our community.”
