A women’s clothing retailer is closing its Nittany Mall location after less than a year in business.
Daily Thread’s final day of business at the College Township mall will be Feb. 24, according to an employee. The store opened in May 2023.
A store closing sale is offering a 70% discount on all items. Current hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The company did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment on the reason for the closing.
The fast-growing retail chain touts itself as offering affordable fashions in missy, petite and plus sizes. Since it was created by apparel company NYC Alliance in 2021 to offer value-priced clothing, Daily Thread has opened dozens of stores throughout the country.
In Pennsylvania, Daily Thread has one location at the Wyoming Valley Mall in Wilkes-Barre, which also opened last spring, and two in the the Pittsburgh area and one in Grove City. It previously operated a store in DuBois.
