Centre Region Parks and Recreation held its 76th annual Halloween costume parade on Sunday evening, bringing downtown State College to life with festive, costumed crowds.

This year’s parade featured some fresh additions, including a lively group of local Girl Scouts advocating for Girl Scout Cookies and a troop of Batmans marching alongside the State College Area High School marching band. Participants organized into groups and categories made their way down Fraser Street, College Avenue and Allen Street, ending at Memorial Field, where the evening wrapped up with songs and spirited costume contests.

Leading the parade with vibrant energy and spirited tunes, the State College Area High School Marching Band set the tone for an unforgettable celebration.

The parade featured imaginative categories such as “Most Unique” and “When I Grow Up.”

As they marched through the streets, chants of “Vote for Girl Scouts!” echoed, accompanied by their creatively designed cookie signs.

There was an abundance of imaginative and handcrafted costumes.

The parade ended with a celebration at State College High School’s Memorial Field.

The night concluded with a rendition of Bruce Channel’s “Hey! Baby.”

Happy Halloween!
