The State College Downtown Rotary Club welcomed community members to its annual Ice Cream Fest on Saturday on the 200 block of South Allen Street.
Samples were provided by Pelican’s SnoBalls, Vale Wood Farms, Wegmans, Trader Joe’s, Ritchey’s Dairy, Meyer Dairy Store, Cold Stone Creamery and Sunset Slush Happy Valley.
It marked the eighth year of the festival, and Carol Walsh, a Rotary member and past district governor of the Rotary Club, said this year’s event was a success.
“It has so far been really successful. We are seeing a lot of new people at the festival this year,” she said. “The Rotary Club is a great organization. It feels good giving back to the community.”
