April is Adopt a Greyhound Month, and to celebrate, Nittany Greyhounds will hold a Meet and Greet from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Spring Fling hosted by Pet Supplies Plus, 277 Northland Center, State College.
The public can come to meet retired racing greyhounds and learn about greyhounds as pets.
Lovingly known as 45-mile-per-hour couch potatoes, retired racing greyhounds adapt well to living in homes. Since 1997, Nittany Greyhounds has found forever homes for more than 1900 greyhounds, in Centre County and beyond.
