The Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra season will come to a close with the performance of “Beethoven Bash” on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4.

The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, in the Recital Hall at Music Building I on Penn State’s University Park campus.

PCO and Maestro Gerardo Edelstein will join forces with the State College Choral Society to open the program with the fierce and dramatic “Mass in C Major.” The concert — and PCO’s season — will conclude with the energy of “Symphony No. 4.”

Tickets for the concert are priced between $7 and $30 and can be bought in advance or at the door.

PCO is an all-professional chamber orchestra out of central Pennsylvania. In addition to its concert season, the orchestra also works to bring community and educational outreach opportunities to the region. Under the direction of Edelstein, PCO performs three main concerts each season, bringing entertainment, a variety of musical selections and programs to central Pennsylvania.

Founded by conductor Douglas Meyer and musicians Daryl and Lois Duram in State College in 1990, PCO has been a staple of the region for over three decades. The orchestra went on to become a nonprofit with a board of directors in 1994 and since then, season concerts have grown in both quality and quantity.
