Centre Region Parks and Recreation hosted the 75th annual Halloween parade in downtown State College on Sunday night.
Local residents lined up and down Fraser Street to celebrate the spooky season. Led by the State College marching band, participants paraded down Fraser Street and College Avenue to State College High School’s Memorial Field, where ghosts and ghouls alike sang songs and compared costumes.
Participants paraded in groups like “unique and original,” “cute and cuddly,” “homemade,” and “furry friends”.
Marching band members serenaded the streets with “Timewarp.”
The weather didn’t dampen the event as participants marched through light rain and chilly temperatures through the streets of State College.
There was no shortage of creative homemade costumes.
The event culminated with a celebration at Memorial Field.
