“Great music, great beer, plus a Steelers football game? Our second annual Strings, Stouts and Steelers event has it all,” a press release from the orchestra shared.
The event will feature a performance by the Allegria Quartet, hor d’oeuvres and drinks from Axemann Brewery. A complimentary drink ticket is included with the ticket. Additionally, items will be on sale for auction including a family photo session with Bona fide Photography, Baltimore Orioles tickets, Happy Valley experiences and more, according to the release.
The Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra Society was formed in 1990 by music conductor Douglas Meyer and musicians Daryl and Lois Durran.
“Since 1990, the PCO has performed both rare and well-known music by the greatest composers from the Baroque period to the present day. Our season concerts have grown in number and quality over the years, and we enjoy an excellent reputation in the community and a very loyal audience,” the PCO website shared.
The orchestra’s mission is “to provide the Central Pennsylvania region with an artistically superb orchestra and orchestra concerts, as well as to develop an environment where the awareness and appreciation for orchestral music will flourish.”
Currently under the direction of music director Gerardo Edelstein. The PCO holds three season concerts and additional holiday, family and educational performances.
Tickets for the upcoming fundraiser are $50 purchased in advance and $55 at the door. The first 25 tickets purchased will include a complimentary PCO pint glass. For tickets, visit pachamberorchestra.org.
