State College Area Roller Derby will celebrate the holidays with its “Wreck the Halls” event on Saturday at C3 Sports, 200 Ellis Place, State College.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and the festive fun gets underway at 5 p.m. with a seasonally-themed bout between the Happy Valley Hellbenders and the Nittany Nightmares.

Tickets are $10 at the door, and kids age 10 and younger are admitted for free.

“So don your Santa hats, grab your elf ears, and join us for Wreck the Halls, where the hits are heavy, the jammers are jolly and the holiday spirit is off the charts,” SCAR Derby wrote in a press release. “This merry matchup will have you ho-ho-hollering in no time!”

Founded in 2010, SCAR Derby is a skater-owned and operated nonprofit women’s flat-track derby league with members from around Centre County spanning a wide range of ages and lifestyles.
