C-NET hosted interviews with candidates in several Centre County, municipal and school board races for the Nov. 7 election. Featured here are interviews with candidates for the Centre County Board of Commissioners and county row offices.
Previously:
• State College Area School Board
• State College Borough Council
Ballots countywide include the election of the three members of the Centre County Board of Commissioners; the row offices of county controller, coroner, prothonotary, recorder of deeds, register of wills, treasurer and sheriff; and one Court of Common Pleas judge.
Two magisterial district judge positions are also ballots in certain areas of the county.
WPSU’s Anne Danahy and StateCollege.com’s Geoff Rushton conducted C-NET interviews with candidates for commissioner, recorder of deeds and treasurer.
Incumbents running unopposed who did not participate in a C-NET interview include Coroner Scott Sayers (D), Prothonotary Jeremy Breon (D), Register of Wills Christine Millinder (R), Sheriff Bryan Sampsell (R), District 49-2-01 Judge Casey McClain and District 49-3-03 Judge Allen Sinclair. The two candidates for controller —Democratic incumbent Jason Moser and Republican Trevor Stauffer — and Centre County Court of Common Pleas Judge Julia Rater, who is unopposed and was sworn in early to fill a vacancy, also did not participate.
