C-NET hosted interviews with candidates in several Centre County, municipal and school board races for the Nov. 7 election. Featured here are interviews with candidates for State College Area School Board of Directors.

Five State College Area School Board seats are up for election this year, each for four year terms. Ten candidates — five Democrats and five Republicans — are on the ballot for the Nov. 7 election: incumbent Amy Bader (D), Nathan Bish (R), incumbent Gretchen Brandt (D), Anne Demo (D), Barry Fenchak (R) Dan Kolbe (D), John Krajcovic (R), Megan Layng (R), Aaron Miller (D) and Michelle Young (R).

Five candidates — Bader, Brandt, Demo, Kolbe and Miller — are aligned with Slate for State. Four — Bish, Fenchak, Krajcovic and Young — are aligned with the United for SCASD slate. Layng was initially on the United for SCASD slate but they parted ways before the primary election.

Watch StateCollege.com editor Geoff Rushton’s C-NET interviews with the candidates below. Brandt and Layng did not participate. For voting locations, sample ballots and other election information, visit centrecountyvotes.gov.
