C-NET hosted interviews with candidates in several Centre County government, municipal and school board races for the Nov. 7 election. Featured here are interviews with candidates for State College Borough Council.

Five State College Borough Council seats — four with full four-year terms and one two-year interim term — are up for election this year, with five candidates on the ballot.

Democrats Matthew Herndon, Kevin Kassab, Evan Myers and Josh Portney are on the ballot for the four four-year terms. Myers will be returning to council after previously serving two terms, while Herndon, Kassab and Portney will be serving on council for the first time.

Democrat Nalini Krishnankutty, who was appointed to fill a vacancy in 2022, is running unchallenged to complete the remaining two years of the term.

Watch StateCollege.com editor Geoff Rushton’s C-NET interviews with the candidates below. Herndon did not participate. For voting locations, sample ballots and other election information, visit centrecountyvotes.gov.
