The League of Women Voters of Centre County will host the 2025 Municipal Primary Candidates’ Night at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29 in the State College Borough Council Chambers, 243 S. Allen St.
Candidates in contested races for State College Area School Board, Bellefonte Area School Board, Benner Township Board of Supervisors and Spring Township Board of Supervisors have been invited. Only candidates in contested races are invited to participate in the event.
The non-partisan format for the evening will include an introduction to the event by LWVCC. Each candidate will have 60 seconds to answer each of six questions, with the first to answer rotating among the candidates. Questions are prepared from community input and issues at hand. No questions are released to candidates prior to the event.
Questions can be submitted to lwvcentrecounty@gmail.com until April 22, or can be submitted at the event.
The event will be livestreamed by CNET, then will be available on the CNET and LWVCC websites after the event.
LWVCC registers voters, provides non-partisan candidate information in the Voters’ Guides and Candidate Night Forum and engages in many other activities supporting election issues in a non-partisan manner. Residents of all political parties are invited to join LWVCC to work for all eligible citizens to be educated, empowered and encouraged to vote.
