U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will visit State College on Friday for an event in support of the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz campaign.
The Democratic New York congresswoman is scheduled to attend a “Get Out the Vote Early Rally” hosted by Penn State Students for Harris-Walz. The rally is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m., at The State Theatre, 130 W. College Ave., according to a Pennsylvania Democratic Party event listing.
While no presidential or vice presidential candidates and few national campaign surrogates have visited Centre County so far this election cycle, Ocasio-Cortez’s appearance will be the second at Penn State in as many days by a high-profile political figure.
Donald Trump supporter and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is slated to join conservative political activist Charlie Kirk for a Turning Point USA event at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The location is not listed on the Turning Point USA ticket request page for the event.
