Craft beer enthusiasts will soon be able to purchase tickets for the inaugural Hoppy Valley Brewers Fest at Beaver Stadium this spring.
Tickets for the beer festival will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 27 at hoppyvalleybrewersfest.com, according to a news release from the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau on Tuesday.
The festival will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, on the field at the home of Penn State football. Three ticket packages will be available:
• General admission is $75 plus service fees in advance or $95 day-of. It includes parking, sampling of more than 100 craft beer and a commemorative drinking vessel.
• VIP tickets are $125 plus service fees ($145) and include early admission at noon and a special gift, along with the same features as general admission.
• Designated driver tickets are $20 plus fees for entry alongside VIP or general admission ticketholders and include parking. No alcohol sales will be permitted to those with designated driver wristbands.
The event will also include a lineup of local bands announced on Tuesday, including The Skoal Brothers, Lowjack, Caledonia and The Cowpoke and the Poet.
Nearly 40 participating breweries who will be offering samples at the festival have been announced so far. The lineup includes Centre County favorites Antifragile, Axemann, Boal City, Dead Canary and Robin Hood, as well as renowned breweries from throughout the northeast and Mid-Atlantic like Troeg’s, Other Half, New Trail and more.
Hoppy Valley Brewers Fest is organized by the Happy Valley Sports & Entertainment Alliance, Antifragile Brewing Company, Central Pennsylvania Tasting Trail, Breweries of Pennsylvania and The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau.
