Centre Volunteers in Medicine, the nonprofit providing free healthcare to the uninsured in Centre County, recently announced a new strategic partnership with the PA Pink Zone, a nonprofit that unites central Pennsylvania in the fight against breast cancer by mobilizing resources to improve lives in the community.
“This new synergistic partnership will combine the networks of both organizations to maximize the impact and expand outreach to those who need help from early detection through treatment,” Marianne Hazel, CVIM director of philanthropy and community engagement, said in a news release.
Through this partnership, CVIM and PA Pink Zone will collaborate on various initiatives, including increasing awareness of the benefits of early breast cancer detection and utilizing the local resources available for breast cancer patients. By pooling their respective knowledge, experience and resources, the two organizations aim to drive meaningful outcomes and magnify their impact for the betterment of men and women in Central Pennsylvania.
“We are thrilled to embark on this collaborative journey with the PA Pink Zone,” Darion Shawley, breast health coordinator at CVIM, said. “By joining forces, we believe together that we can achieve more than we could alone. Together, we will harness the power of our shared values, expertise, and resources to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.”
“Everyone at Pink Zone is thrilled to partner with CVIM. We look forward to working to improve the lives of men and women in Centre County through CVIM’s Breast Care Program.” PA Pink Zone Executive Director Trish Fulvio said.
The partnership highlights both organizations’ commitment to their shared goal and signifies their dedication to nurturing sustainable collaborations in the nonprofit sector. By working together and leveraging their collective strengths and networks, CVIM and PA Pink Zone hope to inspire others to forge similar partnerships that promote collaborative approaches to addressing social challenges.
