Centre Volunteers in Medicine has launched its annual campaign to expand and enhance dental programs for uninsured individuals who live or work in Centre County.
“Oral health is a critical part of overall well-being,” Paula Williams, CVIM executive director, said in a statement. “By offering free dental care and education, we’re helping individuals take charge of their health and prevent long-term complications.”
Money raised from the campaign will be used to provide essential dental services and increase access to preventative oral health education with the goal of preventing more serious health issues in the future. In 2024, CVIM provided more than $2.7 million in free health care services, including comprehensive dental care to 395 patients through 1,387 visits .
Donations to the dental campaign can be made online. CVIM also welcomes partnerships with businesses and organizations interested in improving community health.
CVIM is Centre County’s only free health care clinic, providing comprehensive services to income-qualified, uninsured community members.
