STATE COLLEGE — Geisinger’s Autism & Developmental Medicine Institute will host a free day of fun at Discovery Space, 1224 N. Atherton St., State College, on March 3. The event also will allow families to sign up for ADMI’s ongoing SPARK autism research study.

SPARK is a large, online study to accelerate autism research and gain a better understanding of the condition by building a community of thousands of individuals with autism and their biological family members. To participate in SPARK, parents complete an online registration and then all family members provide a saliva sample.

Families will be able to sign up for the study on March 3 as well as enjoy the museum exhibits. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is free to individuals with autism and their families.

To register for the event, contact Kate Dent at (570) 522-9402 or [email protected] by March 1.
