Counterfeit $100 Bills Spotted in State College, Police Say

Two counterfeit $100 bills were used in transactions at two local businesses on Aug. 31, State College police said Friday.

Police released images of two suspects in the case; the images are posted to the right of this text.

The suspects have dark complexions and are in their early 20s, according to a news release. One appears with a chinstrap beard and a striped shirt; the other is heavyset and was wearing a yellow shirt, police said.

They are asking anyone with information to call them at (814) 234-7150 or to send an anonymous tip through the borough website.
