The Penn State Horticulture Club will host its annual show on Saturday and Sunday at Snider Agricultural Arena on Park Avenue.

The Halloween-themed display, presented in partnership with the College of Agricultural Sciences, will include a corn maze, spiderwebs, tombstones and fog. Visitors will be able to interact with different features and purchase local cider, pumpkins, gourds, ornamental corn, house plants, chrysanthemums, apples and other fresh produce.

Club President Emily Betler, a plant sciences major, said group contributions were key to pulling the show together.

“While I am the president, the other officers help me organize the club meetings, and many of them take trips to Philadelphia or Pittsburgh to pick up donated material,” Betler said in a release.

Materials for the show are donated by different landscape companies and nurseries throughout the mid-Atlantic region and displayed by student volunteers.

The annual show is the Horticulture Club’s largest fundraiser each year. Money raised is used to send two members to the National Collegiate Landscaping Competition. The club has ranked ninth place for two consecutive years and frequently secures top place finishes, according to its website.

Saturday’s show will take place from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., while Sunday’s show will go from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Those interested in attending the show should check out the club’s Instagram page.

Guest parking will not be available on Saturday because of the Penn State football game.
