The Penn State Smeal MBA program has been named one of the best business schools in the nation, according to education services company, The Princeton Review. The program was also ranked No. 6 on the Most Family Friendly list and No. 10 on the Best Campus Environment list.

The Princeton Review editors describe the Penn State Smeal master of business administration program as having a strong academic environment with a commitment to providing career services and a close-knit environment.

The schools profiled in The Best 295 Business Schools were chosen based on institutional data collected during the 2012-13 academic year and/or The Princeton Review’s student survey for the book.

The ratings are based on scores on a scale of 60 to 99. Rating categories include academic experience, admissions selectivity, career preparation and placement, interesting professors and accessible professors. Among the ratings in the Penn State Smeal MBA program profile are scores of 93 for interesting professors and 92 for academic experience.

The Princeton Review does not rank the business schools in the book on a single hierarchical list or name one business school best overall.
