A longtime Centre County human services leader will be the county’s new deputy administrator

The county commissioners have appointed Natalie Corman to the role effective June 27. She succeeds John Franek Jr., who was promoted to county administrator in April.

“The Board of Commissioners looks forward to working with Ms. Corman as the deputy administrator in serving Centre County residents,” a statement from the commissioners said. “Natalie will work closely with [Franek] and the entire administrative team in overseeing day-to-day operations of Centre County Government.”

Corman joined county government in 1998 as a caseworker and later became supervisor in the Department of Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities/Early Intervention and Drug and Alcohol.

From 2011 to 2015, Corman served as director of Adult Services before being appointed to her current role as Human Services administrator.

A resident of Centre Hall, Corman earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Penn State.
