The Penn State Board of Trustees is set to name the newest president of the university Monday afternoon.
The board is expected to name Eric Barron, president of Florida State University, the next president for Penn State during a special public meeting at noon inside the Penn Stater Conference Center.
A press conference is slated for immediately after the meeting. The meeting will be streamed live online HERE.
Barron has extensive experience with Penn State. He was a professor of geosciences, director of the Earth System Science Center, director of the EMS Environmental Institute and dean of the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences.
