Curtis Dukes reportedly is unhappy with playing time and voiced that displeasure last week to the Watertown Daily Times, his hometown paper.
‘I’ve been in this game for too long, and I feel like I deserve more of a shot, to have more playing time and get more exposure,” Dukes told the paper.
At his weekly Tuesday press conference, Penn State coach Bill O’Brien was asked to respond to Dukes’ comments and said there was no disciplinary action taken against the redshirt junior running back, listed fourth on this week’s depth chart.
‘It’s a free country,’ O’Brien said. ‘Nah. Curtis is working hard, and he’s a member of the football team. He’s continuing to work hard, and that’s all I have to say about that.’

Senior cornerback Stephon Morris had some choice words on Twitter Monday night in advance of Saturday night’s matchup with Iowa in Iowa City.
Seems like some are anxious to get to the Oct. 27 home showdown with Urban Meyer and Ohio State, and Morris wants none of it.
‘Please stop looking ahead to next week,’ Morris wrote on Twitter. ‘This is a huge game, we hate them they hate us. We’re focused on Iowa that’s it. One game at a time.’

‘You know what I hate,’ he said. ‘Twitter.’
Wartman Could Still Play This Season
A final decision has not been made regarding whether or not to redshirt freshman linebacker Nyeem Wartman, who has not played since spraining his knee Sept. 8 at Virginia.
O’Brien said Wartman practiced Monday but acknowledged it’s late enough into the season to consider taking advantage of a medical redshirt.
Carter Downplays Mackey Award Watch List Recognition
Kyle Carter, the redshirt tight end who is the team’s second-leading receiver, was named to the Mackey Award Watch List earlier this week. The Mackey Award is given annually to the nation’s top tight end.
Tuesday, Carter downplayed the recognition, saying he’s focused on Saturday’s matchup with Iowa.
‘I definitely had big goals for this year,’ Carter said. ‘That wasn’t particularly one of my goals. It’s nice to get recognition, but right now it’s all about beating Iowa.’
