A 22-year-old Penn State student was found dead at 1:15 p.m. Sunday in the Penn Tower apartment building, 255 E. Beaver Ave., State College police said.
In a news release, police noted that the student’s body was discovered by a roommate returning to the area after the university’s winter break. (Penn State classes will resume for the spring semester on Monday.) The death does not appear to be suspicious, and an autopsy is scheduled, police reported.
They called the student’s passing an ‘unattended death.’ The student’s name was not identified in the news release.
An investigation is being handled by the borough police and the Centre County Coroner’s Office, according to the release. Centre Lifelink Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene, police said.
They’re asking anyone with information to call borough police Detective Ralph Ralston at (814) 234-7150.
