State College motorists on South Atherton Street got an eyeful Thursday afternoon, as a monster truck made an appearance in the parking lot of the Autoport restaurant and hotel, 1405 S. Atherton St.
The truck — dubbed Chalkboard Chuck — visited as the Bryce Jordan Center gears up for two monster-truck events, one each Friday and Saturday. The E3 Spark Plugs Monster Truck Nationals are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. shows both days.
