More than 3,700 Allegheny Power customers in the State College area lost power Wednesday afternoon, the company confirmed.
On its website, Allegheny reported that 3,728 customers in the Centre Region were without power as of 12:50 p.m. The company described the underlying problem as ‘trouble on main line.’
Full service is expected to be restored by 2:15 p.m., according to the company website.
Areas affected by the outages include parts of Westerly Parkway, Bellaire Avenue, South Atherton Street, Southgate Drive, Waupelani Drive and University Drive, according to StateCollege.com Twitter followers.
