You may have noticed that StateCollege.com was late posting some stories this morning. We had to iron out a few wrinkles with some changes to our website. We’ve installed a new code base that should make the site more flexible and easier to use. What it means to you is that StateCollege.com will become a lot easier to navigate as we integrate this new technology.
For instance, our State College hotels and lodging section will make it easier for users to connect with area hotels and motels.
We’ve also updated our sister websites, Altoona.com and Williamsport.com. All three sites are operated by Laserpro Digital Media group, based in State College. The company also operates City Portals, which helps media companies develop and operate their own websites. Through that partnership, StateCollege.com has become one of the most successful local news and information websites in the entire country,
In the weeks ahead, readers can expect to see some new features and improvements. Some will be easy to spot — others will be of the “behind the scenes” variety.
