Penn State men’s basketball has added its fourth recruit to its Class of 2022.

Four-star center Kebba Njie, from La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana, committed to the Nittany Lions Saturday afternoon. According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, he’s currently the second-highest rated commit in program history.

Njie also is rated the No. 79 player in the country in the 2022 ESPN 100.

“First of all, I want to thank God for his unconditional love for me and for putting me into the position I’m in today,” Njie said in a Twitter post. “Thank you to all the Coaches who have helped me with my basketball career so far from back at home and here at Lalu.”

“This was a very tough decision and I’m really blessed to have great schools who wanted me to come to their program,” he continued.” But with that being said, I am excited to announce that I am committing to Penn State!”

The 6-foot-8, 205-pound center is ranked No. 104 in the country and the fourth-best player in Indiana for the 2022 cycle. He visited Penn State on Sept. 10, which was his last official visit before announcing his decision.

“The coaches kept saying that they have something in special in store for me on the visit and that was true,” Njie told 247Sports. The visit was great. What made them stand out to me was the balance between individual skill work and team practices. The individual workouts was something I was looking for and they showcased it phenomenally.”

Njie held offers from Butler and Kansas State, and he visited those schools earlier in the summer.

He joins Jameel BrownEvan Mahaffey, and Kanye Clary as members of coach Micah Shrewsberry’s Class of 2022. It is an important addition as well, since he provides much-needed size with the departure of John Harrar and Greg Lee looming in the near future.
