Penn State basketball picked up its first commitment of the Class of 2024 in Jahvin Carter, the combo guard announced on Twitter Monday night.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound prospect from Alcoa, Tennessee, received offers from Middle Tennessee State, Georgia Tech and Penn State.

Carter received an offer from Nittany Lion coach Mike Rhoades just 10 days ago and will be the first piece in Penn State’s recruiting Class of 2024.

The combo guard is reliable from distance, according to a MaxPreps three-point highlight reel, but remains unranked as a high school prospect per 247Sports.

The Class of 2024 recruit will hit the hardwood during Rhoades’ second go around leading the blue and white, following his debut season coaching Penn State hoops this season.
