4-Star Edge Rusher Flips Commitment from Penn State to Florida

Class of 2025 four-star edge rusher Jayden Woods has flipped his commitment from Penn State football to Florida, he announced Friday afternoon. Woods originally committed to the Nittany Lions in June.

Woods, who hails from Shawnee, Kansas, is ranked as the No. 10 edge rusher in the nation and the fifth-best player in his home state, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. After losing Woods, Penn State’s recruiting class has 25 commitments and is ranked the country by 247Sports.

Among edge rushers, the Nittany Lions still have commitments from four-star prospects Dayshaun Burnett, Cortez Harris and Chaz Coleman.

Woods became one of several players to decommit from the Nittany Lions from the 2025 cycle, including running back Alvin Hendersoncornerback Omari Gainesrunning back Keandrea Barkerlinebacker DJ McClary and safety Antonio Branch Jr.

The college football early signing period is Dec. 4-6.
