Penn State’s second-leading wide receiver from this past season has found a new home. Omari Evans, who set career highs with 21 catches, 415 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 2024, will transfer to Washington, he announced on Wednesday night.
Evans joins Harrison Wallace III as the Nittany Lions’ second starting receiver to transfer to a new program this cycle. Wallace, who led the team with 46 receptions and 720 receiving yards, announced his commitment to Ole Miss on Sunday.
With Evans and Wallace out of the picture, Penn State will primarily turn to two wide receivers that recently transferred in: USC’s Kyron Hudson and Troy’s Devonte Ross.
Liam Clifford currently stands as the team’s only wide receiver on roster who tallied more than two receptions this past season. It’s possible the Nittany Lions add another weapon via the portal to help returning starting quarterback Drew Allar.
