With three more regular season games to play, Penn State has already opened up the window for some to reserve seats for a College Football Playoff game at Beaver Stadium in December, according to an email sent to season ticket holders on Wednesday.

Season ticket holders can purchase their usual seating location for a first-round home game, which will either be played on Dec. 20 or Dec. 21. The deadline to receive these seats is Nov. 22 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

According to The Athletic, the College Football Playoff has set a flat set of ticket prices regardless of which site hosts a game. Tickets will reportedly cost $100 to $250 for general seating. All ticket revenue will be retained by the playoff and redistributed to the conferences.

The Athletic also reported that student tickets will be available for $25 each, with the normal student section allotment of 21,000. Student ticket information will be announced in the coming weeks.

As it stands, the No. 6-seeded Nittany Lions would host No. 11-seeded Ole Miss, as projected by the College Football Playoff rankings, released on Tuesday night. But with three games remaining, this is subject to change prior to selection day on Dec. 8.

Despite a loss to Ohio State, a bid for the playoff and the potential for a home game has been a major possibility for Penn State for quite some time. Beaver Stadium was winterized this past offseason to be able to host a game in late December. The university also pushed its fall commencement back a day to Dec. 22, after the conclusion of the first round.

For the Nittany Lions to host a playoff game, they would need to finish the season seeded from No. 5 through No. 8. That could become a realistic possibility if Penn State is to win its final three regular season games against Purdue (1-8), Minnesota (6-4) and Maryalnd (4-5).
