Penn State’s offense is now returning two of its most dynamic offensive weapons. Moments after Nick Singleton announced his decision to return for the 2025 season, fellow starting running back Kaytron Allen also detailed his intentions to forgo the NFL Draft and play another year with the Nittany Lions.

Allen, who led Penn State with 1,099 rushing yards this past season, announced his decision on social media.

“I have learned so much about football and life from being a part of this elite organization that Coach (James) Franklin leads,” Allen posted. “Going to work with Coach (Ja’Juan) Seider and the LawnBoyz every day is something I will cherish forever. Penn State has been an extraordinary experience for me.”

Allen and Singleton each surpassed 1,000 rushing yards in 2024. They have split snaps since they joined the program in 2022, and have been at the heart and soul of the team’s offensive game plans ever since. The duo is set to remain with an offense that will return quarterback Drew Allar and most of its starting offensive line.

Allen exploded in the postseason. He combined for 410 rushing yards, including a 124-yard performance against Oregon in the Big Ten Championship and 134 yards against Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl.

“The best Duo in the Country is back for year 4!!” running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider posted on X. “Let’s go make history fellas.”
