Beaver Stadium’s intimidating atmosphere and crowd noise are among the best in the upcoming “College Football 25” video game set to be released in July, according to some gameplay footage released this week.
According to a video released on Friday morning, Beaver Stadium is shown to have the No. 2 overall Stadium Pulse, a feature in the game in which crowd noise can impact the performance of visiting teams. The gameplay did not feature which stadium boasts the No. 1 overall ranking, although Georgia is seen as No. 3 and Alabama at No. 5, while Michigan and the Big House came in at No. 16. Like all video games, content shown prior to release is always subject to change.
Player ratings have yet to be released for the game, which is slated to be playable in mid-July, but when they are, it seems likely that will be another point of contention among fans — and players.
“There’s definitely gonna be some players that take to social media right away that are mad about their ratings,” Penn State quarterback Drew Allar told StateCollege.com. “But I’m really excited for it. One of my hobbies outside of football is gaming. And like I grew up on NCAA 14, all the NCAA games really, but specifically ’14. That was at the age where I really started remembering things about video games and really having a passion for it, so I’m just really looking forward to being in it. That’s surreal to even be in a video game, but to have it be in the NCAA is just something really cool. So I’m really looking forward to it. And it’s gonna be interesting to see the overall that’s for sure.”
