Penn State offensive tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu was named the Big Ten’s Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year on Wednesday afternoon to round out an outstanding 2023 regular season.

Fashanu, who is widely expected ot be an early first-round selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, joins A.Q. Shipley (2008) as the second Nittany Lion to win the conference’s offensive lineman of the year honor.

He is one of a dozen Penn State players who picked up All-Big Ten offense honors on Wednesday. Fashanu was the only Nittany Lion to land on the conference’s first-team and was a unanimous selection by coaches and media.

Joining Fashanu as All-Big Ten selections were RB Kaytron Allen (second team), OL Hunter Nourzad (second team), RB Nicholas Singleton (third team), TE Tyler Warren (third team), QB Drew Allar (honorable mention), OL Olaivavega Ioane (honorable mention), TE Theo Johnson (honorable mention), WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith (honorable mention), OL JB Nelson (honorable mention), OL Caedan Wallace (honorable mention) and OL Sal Wormley (honorable mention).

Penn State’s offensive future is very much up in the air with the departure of offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich, but the Nittany Lions will look to build on their 10-2 regular season record in the postseason and beyond as the Big Ten expands in 2024.

On the other side of the ball Penn State had 13 defensive and four special teams selections bringing the Nittany Lions’ total to 29 All-Big Ten selections in 2023.
