Penn State Athletics will hold its inaugural Nittany Lion Fan Academy on Saturday, Aug. 26.
The event at Beaver Stadium starts at 2 p.m and fans can enter Gate B beginning at 1 p.m.
The Nittany Lion Fan Academy, which is free and open to the public, will help fans learn game day traditions, chants, cheers and songs that they can expect to hear at Penn State sporting events during the 2023-24 athletic year. The event is open to fans of all ages.
The event will include the Blue Band, cheerleaders, the Nittany Lion mascot and the Penn State Lionettes Dance Team.
James Franklin is scheduled to attend and address the crowd. Free T-shirts will be available for the first 5,000 fans, and shakers and posters will be available as well.
