Nittany Lion tight end Tyler Warren announced on Instagram on Friday night that he intends to return to Penn State for his senior season.

“As I reflect on the past four years, I am thankful for the memories and lessons learned alongside my teammates and coaches,” Warren wrote. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to play in the Peach Bowl in just a few short days with a team I love and respect. We’ve done some great things as a family, but I do believe the best is yet to come. After much thought and consideration I’ve decided to return to Penn State for the 2024 season.”

Warren finished off the 2023 regular season a key cog in Penn State’s offense alongside fellow tight end Theo Johnson racking up seven touchdown receptions while recording at least one catch in each game this year. Warren has been a particularly vital piece to Penn State’s short red zone situations en route to 44 career receptions for 479 yards and 11 career touchdowns.

The decision to return gives Penn State a crucial piece to the offensive puzzle following the departure of Johnson who is slated to enter the NFL Draft and will not participate in the upcoming Peach Bowl. Behind Warren, Penn State will learn on Warren, Jerry Cross, Khalil Dinkins. Additionally, Penn State will welcome five-star freshman Luke Reynolds who is rated the No. 27 prospect of the 2024 recruiting cycle.
