After a dominant showing in Sunday’s Army Black Knight Invitational, Penn State wrestler Mitchell Mesenbrink was named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week.
Mesenbrink went 4-0 at the Black Knight Invitational, winning by tech fall in each match by a total margin of 72-10. The sophomore 165-pounder is 5-0 to start his 2024-25 campaign after finishing last season as an All-American, a Big Ten champion and Big Ten Freshman of the Year.
Mesenbrink and the rest of Penn State wrestling will next be in action on Sunday, Dec. 8, when they travel to Bethlehem to take on Lehigh at 2 p.m.
