State Rep. Takac Opening Milesburg Office

State Rep. Paul Takac, D-College Township, is opening another satellite office to offer state services in the 82nd legislative district.

Takac’s Milesburg office is scheduled to open Friday inside Milesburg United Methodist Church, 301 Turnpike Street. The office will staffed by a member of Takac’s team and will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the first and third Friday of every month. Takac will be on hand for the opening.

Constituents will be able to get help with services such as unemployment assistance; Property Tax/Rent Rebate applications; PennDOT disability placards, vehicle registrations and license plate acquisition; utility assistance; veterans assistance; and birth/death certificate acquisition.

In addition to his district office at 216 W. Hamilton Ave. in State College, Takac also has satellite offices in Snow Shoe (open the second and fourth Tuesday of each month) and Howard (open Thursdays).

“I am proud to offer these satellite offices and constituent services to every corner of the 82nd District, now rounding out with Milesburg,” Takac said in a statement. “It’s my hope that this satellite office will provide enhanced accessibility to constituents in the Milesburg region and an opportunity to hear the community’s concerns and aid them in the solutions.”

The 82nd district includes part of State College along with all of Howard, Milesburg, Snow Shoe and Unionville boroughs, and Benner, Boggs, Burnside, College, Curtin, Harris, Howard, Liberty, Marion, Snow Shoe and Union townships.
