A new beer festival is headed to Beaver Stadium this spring.

Hoppy Valley Brewers Fest is scheduled for May 11 at the home of Penn State football, according to the event’s website and State College’s Antifragile Brewing Co., one of the festival’s lead organizers.

More than 75 exhibitors are expected, with 16 breweries currently listed on the festival website. In addition to Antifragile, the current slate includes Warwick Farm Brewing, Ten7 Brewing, Troeg’s, Sworn Brewing Company, Fourscore Beer Co., Second Sin Brewing, Trace Brewing, Prison City Brewing, Dewey Beer, Tin Barn Brewing, Hidden River Brewing Company, Other Half, Grist House Craft Brewery, Sunset Hill Brewing Company and Dancing Gnome.

Those interested can register on the website for email updates on the next wave of breweries to be announced and ticket information.

Tickets, including VIP packages, will go on sale at a later date through Ticketmaster, and prices have not yet been revealed.

The festival will also feature local food vendors and entertainment to be announced.

Gates will open at 10 a.m. and VIP entry will begin at noon. General admission will start at 1 p.m., with the festival wrapping up at 5 p.m.

Antifragile Brewing is working with Breweries of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association, Happy Valley Adventure Bureau and Happy Valley Sports & Entertainment Alliance to produce the festival.

The festival marks Penn State’s latest foray into using Beaver Stadium for more than football Saturdays since Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Patrick Kraft came on board.

Luke Combs will perform on April 27 in the second-ever major concert event at the stadium and first since the 2017 Happy Valley Jam.

In the past year, Beaver Stadium hosted the Topgolf Live Stadium Tour and a public yoga class and a movie night, as well as serving as the finish line for and an integral part of the festivities surrounding the inaugural Ironman 70.3 Pennsylvania Happy Valley. A new Tunnel Club also provides paying members with special access and amenities at the stadium during football games and other dates throughout the year.
