When the news broke throughout the week, many were wondering why Mike McQueary is still a part of the Penn State staff since he was allegedly “a witness to one of the alleged acts of child sexual abuse by Sandusky, the former Penn State defensive coordinator, in March 2002.

Also, before Thursday afternoon came, McQueary was still scheduled to be at the game on Saturday against Nebraska. Now, McQueary is normally the wide receivers coach, a recruiting coordinator on top of the one who gives the offensive signals to players on the field.

In midst of everything that has occurred this week, McQueary has received several threats and in part Penn State University has decided that it is best that he will not attend the game against Nebraska on Saturday.

The biggest question is whether or not Mike McQueary should be on the staff. Most are scratching their heads as to why he is even in town.

After all, he was the alleged one who witnessed everything in the first place, right? Had it not been for McQueary, the stress of everything would have had a different outcome.

Still, most wanted him to be the first person to be canned. I think the biggest and possibly only reason he is still on staff is because the university is afraid of what he may say once he is fired.

Or will he be fired?

Most think the only chance he is gone is if he resigns himself. After all, there must still sadly be a ton of information left on the table. Why else would he still be on staff?

This has been one of the most tumultuous weeks in college football history and the Twitter world has shown just how much people care about sports on top of college football.More importantly, this is much more than a college football issue. This is a trust issue that society as a whole has taken a stand on.

It surely has been a sickening week after reading the grand jury and you can do nothing but hope such a terrible thing never happened. We can only hope that this will someday turn into something positive since this has turned into one of the most negative things some have ever seen at such a prestigious university.

Everybody has their own opinion on what exactly should have or should happen from here on out. One thing for sure is that we have continued to hear new information as there have been changes and facts arising the past few days.
