Planned Power Interruption Scheduled in Part of State College

Some West Penn Power customers in the Highlands neighborhood of State College will experience a planned temporary power interruption next week while the company performs facility upgrade work.

The outage is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Feb. 15, with a rain date of Feb. 16, according to a news release.

A total of 193 residential customers in the area of  East Fairmount Avenue, East Hamilton Avenue, South Allen Street and South Pugh Streets will be affected.

Each customer will be notified by a phone call to the number listed on their electric account. Customers needing to update their account phone number can call the West Penn contact center 1-800-686-0021. They can also sign-up to receive alerts by text or email by going to www.firstenergycorp.com/login.
