THON 2023 will take place from Friday, Feb. 17, to Sunday, Feb. 19, at the Bryce Jordan Center, the organization announced Wednesday afternoon.
An in-person event will be held that “abides by all University COVID-19 mitigation protocol that is in place at the time of the event,” according to THON social media posts.
THON 2023’s fiscal year will begin July 1, which will start the event’s yearlong fundraising efforts.
The 46-hour dance marathon made its in-person return to the BJC for THON 2022 after operating under a completely virtual format the prior year. THON 2022 raised a record-setting $13,756,374.50 for the Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital to support pediatric cancer patients and their families.
Rising senior Lily Pevoto was named THON 2023’s executive director in March. In April, THON announced the full executive committee for the year.
