Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Centre County

The National Weather Service at State College has issued a winter weather advisory for Centre County, with a mix of precipitation expected across central Pennsylvania from Sunday into Monday morning.

Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are possible, along with a light glaze of ice, between 10 a.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday, according to the advisory.

“Plan on slippery road conditions,” NWS wrote. “The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.

AccuWeather forecasts intermittent snow mixed with rain and sleet Sunday afternoon and evening in the State College area, with possible light freezing rain and a trace amount of ice early Monday morning.

Precipitation will change over to all rain as temperatures climb above freezing on Monday.
