PLEASANT GAP — The Centre County Festival of Trees is a community event to fundraise for the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology’s student organizations.
It is a fun, magical holiday event that children and adults alike will enjoy. During the three-day event, there will be 60-plus decorated trees, visits from Santa, children’s crafts, craft and other vendors, basket raffles, food sales (by the CPI Culinary Arts students), a scavenger hunt, poinsettia sales (by FFA students), entertainment and much more. We expect 1,000 to1,250 attendees during the three-day event.
The event will run from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8; from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9; and from noon until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10.
On Saturday, a free shuttle is available to and from Bellefonte Victorian Christmas. Admission to see the decorated trees is $2 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under.
Since 2018, the Centre County Festival of Trees has been supporting CPI student organizations. The student organizations that benefit are SkillsUSA, FFA, National Technical Honor Society, and Future Career and Community Leaders of America. All proceeds help the students with the cost of dues, competition and travel expenses and supplies.
The Centre County Festival of Trees is also an exciting opportunity for organizations, and business and industry, to gain exposure by sponsoring trees. For information on tree sponsorship or general questions, please call (814) 359-2793, ext. 255.
